New published study from Prof. Graeme Milligan

In collaboration with colleagues in France, Denmark and Brazil, Graeme Milligan has recently published a study (Cell Reports (2020) 30, 2934 - 2947) that shows that enhancing the activity of the receptor Free Fatty Acid receptor (FFA2) using either a pharmacological compound or by improving the function of the gut microbiota can limit bacterial super-infection that normally occurs during and subsequent to influenza infections. So, we recomment lots of vinegar on your fish and chips if you get the flu to limit consequent bacterial lung infections.
