PhD student Sonia Mitchell will be speaking on “Measures of Genetic Diversity” on the Friday the 23rd of September at 12 pm in the Graham Kerr library.
We will host an informal discussion, where I will briefly discuss my current work, which is to examine the properties of various measures of genetic (and phylogenetic) diversity, in terms of our generalised framework. A preliminary review of literature has revealed an abundance of such measures, which I hope will stimulate discussion and generate feedback on the current state of play within the field.
