Research interests

My research is in the area of Building Physics, looking at how we can make our buildings and urban areas more sustainable and resilient to a changing climate.

I am also particualrly interested in how we can manipulate the urban microclimate to reduce the urban heat island effect, reducing city-wide temperatures and improving air quality.

My current research focuses upon how we can use green and blue space and different urban geometries to mitigate the urban heat island and offset some of the effects of climate change.
