Research interests

Research interests include energy network resilience and reliability, COVID-19 impacts on interdependent critical infrastructure, the impact of climate change on energy networks, as well as adaptation and mitigation of those impacts, intelligent control / aggregation of Distributed Energy Resources, multiple energy carriers / integrated energy systems, complex network dynamics, micro-grids, Virtual Power Plants, energy storage, multi-agent systems, electric vehicles, hydrogen, DC networks and grid integration of renewable energy through High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission.

Leading and participating in several national (UK) and international (EU) research projects on energy storage, energy network reliability, electric vehicles and smart grids. Contributing to several professional Working Groups on climate adaptation of energy networks, power system resilience, energy storage, integrated energy systems and multi-agent systems.
