Research interests

I am a peatland scientist coordinating the research in Europe's largest blanket bog, the Flow Coutry of Caithness and Sutherland. I work on the mechanisms underlying peatland resilience in the face of land use and climate change. I contribute to the development of novel tools for monitoring peatland restoration outcomes using remote-sensing technology. I am interested in understanding the feedback loops that impact biogeochemical cycles in peatlands across scales.
