Laura's primary research focus is international climate change law. Her doctoral research applies qualitative methods to explore what the growing recognition of sub-national and non-state actors within and outside the UN climate regime means for our understanding of the nature and role of law in global climate governance.
She has worked for the UNFCCC Secretariat and attended various international climate conference (COP24, COP25, Regional Climate Weeks, NY Climate Action Summit). As part of her research, Laura has conducted fieldwork on urban climate governance in three jurisdictions (England, Malayisa, Columbia). Laura has published in on the role of sub-national and non-state actors in the international climate regime.
