- Postgraduate Researcher - University of Leeds
I am an independent expert with a background in forestry and working experience in tropical forests of Africa and South America.
I am completing my PhD at the School of Geography, University of Leeds (UK), with a focus in finding practical approaches to measuring and reporting forest carbon emissions in the tropics. My research includes comparing available datasets obtained from Earth Observation data, and test methods to improve them for forest monitoring and REDD+ in Sub-Saharan Africa.
I have been following negotiations under the UNFCCC since COP19 and attended COP19, COP21, and COP23 in different roles as Party, Observer and Secretariat delegate. I am a nominated UNFCCC expert and participate in the technical assessment of REDD+ reference levels.
