Research interests

I examine the organisational and social change processes surrounding business transitions towards sustainability.

I use qualitative research methods to examine how organisational cultures, identities and routines influence the interpretation of sustainability issues, and how people can frame such issues so they align with business strategies and capabilities, enabling implementation.

I also study how people make sense of sustainability issues in broader occupational and community settings, again with an eye to understanding enablers and constraints on effective action.

My research and editorial essays have also contributed to influencing how management and business scholars think about and conduct research on climate change, circular economy, and industrial symbiosis, and other societal grand challenges.
