Research interests

He is currently researching the implications of the ‘climate crisis’ on UK higher education and has published research into how climate change is taught in geography degree programmes.

His work is currently exploring climate change teaching in a range of other subject areas where it is not traditionally taught (such as business, fashion, languages and chemistry). He has recently completed research into the experiences of black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) students participating in the Be SMART project which aims to enhance the employability outcomes of BAME students.

Iain has also published research relating to his disciplinary background in geography, focusing on the management of water resources, citizen science and ecosystem services.
