  • Professor in Earth Observation - University of Leicester and National Centre for Earth Observation

Research interests

Prof. Boesch is an expert in satellite remote sensing of greenhouse gases CO2 and CH4 and their application for constraining the surface fluxes of both gases. He is leading a new remote sensing network for greenhouse gases around London.

He is involved in many CO2 missions including NASA OCO-2, the Chinese TanSat mission and the future French/UK MicroCarb and the Copernicus CO2M missions. He contributes to the greenhouse gases element of the ESA Climate Change Initiative and the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
