Prof. Boesch is an expert in satellite remote sensing of greenhouse gases CO2 and CH4 and their application for constraining the surface fluxes of both gases. He is leading a new remote sensing network for greenhouse gases around London.
He is involved in many CO2 missions including NASA OCO-2, the Chinese TanSat mission and the future French/UK MicroCarb and the Copernicus CO2M missions. He contributes to the greenhouse gases element of the ESA Climate Change Initiative and the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
