Research interests

My interests are in parasite epidemiology, host-parasite interactions and molecular epidemiology.

Specifically, the main parasites I work on are the trypanosomes, that cause sleeping sickness and other animal diseases, and Toxoplasma and important zoonotic pathogen that is globally distributed.

In the context of climate change, I am interested in how the epidemiology of parasitic infections is influenced by changes in climate.
