Research interests

My research lies in the field of International Economic Law, with an emphasis on the law of the World Trade Organization and International Investment Law.

In my published work, I focus on international agricultural trade and its relationship with non-trade values, like environmental protection, human rights and the protection of cultural and economic values.

I work with government, NGOs, and the private sector, and am currently leading interdisciplinary agrifood supply chain resesarch for the University of Leeds' new Global Food and Environment Institute. We are working on the impact of Covid-19 on agrifood supply chains.
