David's background is in atmospheric science and he has specialised in climate science for the last 23 years.
His main research area is aviation and climate - both quantifying impacts and mitgation potential.
David has particular interests in developing links between science and policy, and works at an international level, e.g. the European Commission, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), International Maritime Organization (IMO), and has long experience in international scientific assessments at e.g. IPCC, UNEP, ICAO, IMO, peer-reviewed publications.
