Danielle Densley Tingley

Danielle is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield. She is passionate about reducing the impact of the built environment on the planet, particularly focusing on how our use of materials can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and thus minimise climate change.
Danielle is a Director of the Urban Flows Observatory, leading the work to understand resource use in cities. She leads a grant investigating the Circular Economic potential of the non-residential building stock in the UK., and is a co-creator of regenerate, a design engagement tool to measure 'how circular is your building?'
She is also a Co-Investigator on DecarboN8 - leading work on infrastructure decarbonisation, and a Co-Investigator on the Active Building Centre, looking at methods to automate recognition of material stocks and retrofit needs.
