Research interests

My work is in Architectural Engineering with a particular focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. My research examines how buildings mediate between their occupants and the climate in order to deliver comfortable, healthy and resilient conditions in a decarbonized society.

I have developed a wide range of interests in these areas, including building performance evaluation (energy and carbon), impact of design strategies on occupants (thermal comfort and overheating in dwellings and refugee shelters), or the design and delivery of grid-supporting net-zero carbon buildings.
