Dr. Cristina Temenos is an urban geographer focusing on policy transfer across cities in the Global North and Global South. Her work focuses on social and environmental sustainability policy in cities, examining access to health and transportation justice in relation to climate change.
A key aspect of her empirical work focuses on how policies are created, implemented and evaluated, and the ways that ‘best practice’ policies are mobilised to be implemented across cities and countries. Knowledge translation strategies and informational infrastructures about climate change and public health policies are a dual focus of her work. Her work on urban policy mobilities has been published in Environment and Planning A, Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers and The Routledge Handbook of Mobilities.
