- Innovation Manager - Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, University of Edinburgh
With over 18 years experience in environmental management, working in both consultancy and academic sectors, I have extensive experience in sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, public sector carbon management, climate change assessment for EIA and developing net zero strategies, as well as an excellent understanding of energy and climate change policy.
My work focuses on delivering sustainability improvements, through engaging clients to reduce embodied and operational carbon emissions and by measuring and monitoring resource use and implementing behavioural change. I develop conceptual models and tools to help organisations identify and manage their carbon emissions and support them to implement effective strategies. As well as running a consultancy business, I am currently working at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation and supporting the City of Edinburgh with their net zero by 2030 target. I am actively involved in the Scottish Government Sustainable Procurement working group on monitoring and reporting.
