- Professor of Public Health Medicine - Cambridge Public Health; University of Cambridge
My main research area has been longitudinal studies of older people following changes over time in cognition, dementia natural history and associated features with a public health perspective.
I am lead principal investigator in the group of MRC CFA Studies which inform national policy and scientific understanding of dementia in whole populations. I have leadership roles for public health as a whole within the University, regionally and nationally.
Public health as a research community, and we as leaders across health protection, health promotion and health and social care public health, must do all we can to support societies emerging from the COVID crisis in an inclusive, more equitable way that supports sustainability within and across global communities and ecosystems.
