Research interests

I am interested to integrate circular economy into the climate change agenda, because making better use of resources has a huge potential to reduce carbon emissions. I am investigating how circular economy can be integrated with the design, operation and end-of-use management of energy infrastructure.

My wider research interests include:

  • Resource recovery from waste, circular economy theory, sustainable development, whole system change, integrated environmental, social and economic progress.
  • Participation process management, social network theories, governance dynamics, evolution of industrial systems and business model innovation.
  • Applying circular economy to the decommissioning of infrastructure in the waste (eg. landfills), extractive (e.g. mining and oil & gas), energy (e.g. wind, solar) and transport (e.g. electric vehicles, rail) sectors.
