Angela Connelly

Research interests

Angela is a senior lecturer at the Manchester School of Architecture and the sustainability lead for the school. Her research interests lie in the adaptation of the built environment to enable resilience to extreme weather events. 

Her research examines:

  • Opportunities and barriers to realising climate resilient architecture.
  • Tools and processes to help cities to become more resilient to the changing climate. 
  • Assessing the effectiveness of technologies and approaches to increase climate resilience.

She has worked extensively with external stakeholders and is interested in interdisciplinary knowledge practices around climate change. She also works with visual artists and musicians to explore different methods of communicating climate change.
