- Lecturer - University of Salford
Dr Amir Nourian is full-time lecturer in mechanical engineering in the school of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) at University of Salford.
Currently, he is the associate head of internationally recognised Spray Research Group (SRG) at the University of Salford, collaborating with large and SME companies and educational establishments at the national and international scale.
He has completed his PhD at the University of Salford on an eco-friendly valving arrangement for domestic aerosol sprays (i.e. hair spray) utilising ‘clean air’ propellant such as compressed air as opposed to harmful Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The outcome of this research formed part of ‘Technology Transfer’ by the University of Salford. In 2014, SRG won the award of Times Higher Education (THE) for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Innovation and Technology’.
His core research activities include both applied and pure research in the areas of multiphase flow, spraying systems, environmental and air quality, and new product development (NPD).
