Wellcome Trust Collaborative Awards in Science 

Description: Collaboration Awards promote the development of new ideas and speed the pace of discovery.  This scheme funds teams of researchers, consisting of independent research groups, to work together on the most important scientific problems that can only be solved through collaborative efforts.

MRC-AMED Infectious Disease Research Collaboration

EIC Horizon prize for early warning of epidemics

BBSRC FAPESP Pump-Priming Awards (FAPPA)

Description: This scheme is run jointly with Brazil's Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) to pump-prime collaborations between scientists in the UK and the Sao Paulo State, Brazil to promote the exchange of scientists and access to facilities and materials.  It encourages applications under the RCUK-FAPESP lead agency agreement.
