Buchanan Bus Station is situated in the city centre. It is possible to travel from the bus station to the West End of the city (where the University of Glasgow and Winton Drive are based) by underground from Buchanan Street to Hillhead. From here it is a 5 minute walk to the main University campus and a 20 minute walk to Queen Margaret Residences and the Winton Flats. Alternatively, a number of local bus services run to the West End (see below). Check with the bus station for routes and times. A taxi from Buchanan Street to the University will cost approximately £7.
Local Buses
From Central Station – No. 59 from Hope Street will take you to Great Western Road at the Kirklee junction.
From Central or Queen Street Station – No. 66, 51 and 20 from St Vincent Street will take you to Great Western Road at the Kirklee junction.
From Queen Street Station – No.11 from Bath Street goes via the University to Winton Drive at the Cleveden roundabout.
