Research title: Managing Hybrid Industrial IoT Enterprise Wireless Networks
Research Summary
I am working on the integration of 5G and LoRaWAN at the University of Glasgow, UK as a PhD candidate. Simultaneously, as a research assistant, I am collaborating with CGI and 5G3I to facilitate UK's railway digitalization via the LoRa mesh network. Before entering the University of Glasgow, I researched compressive sensing-based sub-Nyquist sampling at UESTC, China.
Grants
EIT CDT Scholarship from Dec 2020 to Jun 2024
Conference
I attended and made presentations on PIMRC2022 and ICEMI2019. On ICEMI2019, I obtained the second-class outstanding presentation award.
Additional Information
Projects:
1. Satellite for digitalization of Railway
Duration: 2021.11 ~ present
Description: This project aims to facilitate UK's railway digitalization via LoRa mesh network and satellite communication network. As a research assistant, I work with CGI and 5G3i LTD to design and implement a trackside remote sensing network. The network is deployed at the campus of the University of Glasgow and national railways for trial tests.
2. Persuasive Energy Conscious Network (PECN)
Duration: 2021.7 ~ 2021.11
Description: This project built a LoRaWAN-based PECN to monitor the electricity consumption in rooms 468 and 611/612 of the James Watt South building of the University of Glasgow. Through data analysis, the users can obtain advice about how to reduce their energy consumption in the laboratory. Finally, this project was displayed on the Sustainable Solution Showcase of the University of Glasgow during CPO26.
