Research title: The Archaeological, Landscape and Historical Context of the Galloway Hoard
Research Summary
My PhD research is looking at the early medieval landscape of Galloway around the time of the Galloway Hoard's deposition (800-1100). I am taking an interdisciplinary approach in order to bring together all available forms of evidence to try to get a picture of the social landscape of Galloway over this time period.
My research interests include Viking-Age archaeology, early medieval Scotland and the Viking eastern expansion.
