Research title: MVLS/EPSRC
This research is the development of a novel biosensor combined with an implantable medical device for the detection of adverse vascular conditions. It involves the use of computer aided design software packages, UV lithography, tissue culture, fluorescence microscopy with live cell imaging, and multiphysics simulations. Based at the Institute of Cardiovascular & Medicine Science and also using the facilities at the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre while working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The group includes academics from cellular biology, engineering, and electronics as well as working with clinicians to develop a solution they and their patients can benefit from.
