Law rises into world top 40 in THE World Subject Rankings

Four subjects ranked in global top 100 rankings, with Law entering top 40
The University of Glasgow has ranked among the world’s top 100 in four out of 11 subject areas, according to the Times Higher Education’s (THE) annual World Subject Rankings.
Law rises to 40th globally out of a total of the 1,512 institutions to be included in the rankings.
The rankings cover 11 subject areas and give an overview of the best places in the world to study a chosen discipline. They rank the University of Glasgow within the top 100 globally in the following subject areas:
- Law - 40th
- Clinical, Pre-Clinical and Health - joint 54th
- Arts and Humanities - 79th
- Life Sciences - joint 91st
Five subjects improved their position year on year, with Law rising by one place, Clinical, Pre-Clinical and Health by two places, and Arts and Humanities by seven places. Business and Economics moves up three groupings, and Psychology by two groupings.
