Staff or students will not be permitted to drive University Vehicles without first being assessed by Transport Services.
On the day of the assessment, the candidate must bring their Driving Licence and staff ID card to Transport Services 13 Thurso Street.
Candidates who have not passed the assessment can be assessed again once a full calendar month has elapsed.
Drivers who first passed their test after 1/1/1997 have restrictions on the vehicles that they can legally drive.

Due to our requirements to validate all licences, non-UK licence holders are now required to exchange to a UK licence.
Drivers will not be permitted to drive University vehicles until they have held their licence for 2 years and are over 21.
Only a full clean valid UK licence will be accepted.
Department Heads/Nominees should check licences are valid before sending candidates down for assessment.
Driver Licence Check
All Driving Licences are checked electronically. These checks are subject to the approval of the Transport Services Manager.
Individuals who have been authorised to drive University vehicles must immediately notify Transport Services of any endorsements.
Failure to inform Transport Services of any changes to your licence will result in removal from the Approved Drivers Database.
