A proof of concept (PoC) is a small project to test a design idea or assumption. The main purpose of a proof of concept is to demonstrate the functionality of a solution and to verify that it can and will work as intended when it is fully developed.

We initially worked with small groups to test and co-create our new tools and training – this work formed the basis of our proof-of-concept period.

Our first groups consisted of staff and students from Scottish Literature (College of Arts) and then from the School of Law (College of Social Sciences) and School of Modern Languages

These groups tested aspects of the digital tools and the change support needed, including testing the performance of technology and functionality under pressure of high-volume usage, and highlighting bugs so that we were able to fix them.
