Assessment & Feedback Project
Our new Moodle features are now live!
We initially worked with small groups to test and co-create our new tools and training – this work formed the basis of our proof-of-concept period. The project is now on the next phase as we train and roll out the new functionality across the University.
As part of UofG’s World-Changing Glasgow Transformation Assessment & Feedback project, we are developing some new approaches to the way we manage assessment and feedback online.
We worked with small groups to design and build the Moodle functionality. Our first groups consisted of staff and students from Scottish Literature (College of Arts) and then from the School of Law (College of Social Sciences) and School of Modern Languages.
These groups tested aspects of the digital tools and the change support needed, including testing the performance of technology and functionality under pressure of high-volume usage, and highlighting bugs so that we were able to fix them.
What's the PoC all about?
A proof of concept (PoC) is a small project to test a design idea or assumption. The main purpose of a proof of concept is to demonstrate the functionality of a solution and to verify that it can and will work as intended when it is fully developed.
Overview of our PoC team
We will be collaborating with our colleagues and students on a regular basis to shape the online solution and our training resources.
What's been done so far
Here we will log on a week-by-week basis the activity we have been engaged in, to demonstrate the progress we are making.
Our future plans
We are now rolling out training to different Schools across our Colleges. We are currently working with the College of MVLS and the College of Social Sciences.
