Jame McCune Simth PhD Scholars Amina & Meshach share about their time in Glasgow

We caught up with two of the scholars, Amina & Mesh, to hear about their time in Glasgow so far. The inaugural James McCune Smith (JMS) Annual Conference will take place on 7-8 June 2023 at UofG.

'It can be difficult for people such as myself to get that look in so I think it's nice that Glasgow have projects such as these.' Our James McCune Smith Scholarships fund Black UK students to undertake a PhD.

We caught up with two of the scholars, Amina & Meshach, to hear about their time in Glasgow so far. The inaugural James McCune Smith (JMS) Annual Conference will take place on 7-8 June 2023 at UofG.

The conference will be chaired by the JMS scholars and feature inspiring speakers from the Black community. It aims to provide a platform for Black academics in the UK to address and highlight their distinct experiences in navigating higher education in the UK More. Find out more.
