Let's Talk About [X]

Issued: Wed, 10 Jan 2018 12:29:00 GMT

Submit a summary of your undergraduate research project by Friday 12 January 2018 to be considered for training and a presentation spot at Let's Talk About [X], Glasgow’s multidisciplinary undergraduate conference.

Whether you did it as part of a course/dissertation or out of your own interest, you'll get to give your presentation to an interested audience of students from all four Colleges.

Let’s Talk About [X] takes place on the afternoons of the 27 and 28 February. Each slot is 10 minutes long plus time for questions. Successful candidates get 1:1 training from a mentor, plus a series of optional classes to help you refine your message for an audience of people who aren’t from your subject.

If you think you’re up to the challenge, submit your abstract at www.talkaboutx.net. Pay special attention to the guide page, which explains what a good abstract should contain, and what criteria we’ll use to judge them for this event. You can also watch previous years’ speakers on the website to get an idea of what’s involved.

Follow us on Twitter at @UofGLEADSlearn and on Instagram at @UofGLEADSforStudents for updates, or keep an eye on www.talkaboutx.net. We’ll send out an invitation for audience members closer to the time.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Dr Andrew Struan and Dr Scott Ramsay in LEADS (the Learning Enhancement and Academic Development Service)!
