Campus development

The major development of our Gilmorehill campus will be the most dramatic evolution of the University since our relocation to the West End in 1870.

  • Our plans to develop the Gilmorehill campus and the adjacent former Western Infirmary site will create world-class teaching, learning and research facilities for students and staff.
  • Our campus development will have a major impact on the West End of the city, bringing significant community, economic, environmental and cultural benefits including the creation of around 2,500 jobs.
  • The campus development will expand the University's footprint on the city by 25%.
