Triathlon

‌Whether you’re looking for a new challenge, or already have a few triathlons under your belt, Glasgow University Triathlon Club is the club for you.

Training

Triathlon logoWe offer a variety of sessions each week for each of the 3 disciplines: swimming, cycling and running, and aim to cater for all abilities at each session.

So whether you’re new to the sport, or an experienced Ironman athlete, you can train at your level.

‌As one of the newest sports teams on campus, established in 2011, we are still developing as a club.

This year we hope to host our own aquathlon event as well as introduce open water swimming sessions to our training programme.

As a club we aim to target a number of races throughout the year: these range from competitive standard distance triathlons to more relaxed aquathlon events and even relays.

Social

As with any University club there is also a huge social element involved, and numerous nights out and pub quizzes will take place throughout the year. We also organise an annual training weekend in March, as well as several mountain biking/open water swimming/fell running day trips.

Joining

If you’re looking for a club that is three times the fun – GUTri is the place to be. Find us at the Freshers’ sports fair or look up our social media pages for more details on training sessions, socials and events. We hope to see you soon.
