PhD Society
The PhD Society was founded as a means to support all PGRs as they tackle the challenges of being a research student. The group provides a platform to socialise, provide development opportunities, improve overall wellbeing and to give research students a voice.

Run Talk Run

The University of Glasgow Parents Network
Share experiences, enjoy peer-to-peer support, organise meet-ups for young families, and make new friends! This group is open to students who have children of any age.

SRC Postgraduate Students’ Network
A supportive group for all students enrolled in a postgraduate degree, both taught or research.

SRC Disabled Students' Network
A network for students who define themselves as having a disability or who have a chronic/long-term physical or mental illness.

Distance PGR Community
If you spend a lot of time away from campus, please join the distance PGR Yammer community. This is a news and discussion group specifically for those who work or live at a distance. PGRs can find the group on Yammer, using their UofG login.

LGBTQ+ Staff Network
This group is for all University of Glasgow staff and PhD researchers who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, queer or questioning.

LC-ECR Network
The "Late-Career Early Career Reseacher" (LC-ECR) group is a support and knowledge exchange for researchers who identify as older than traditional early career researchers. There is no lower age limit for the group.

MVLS NERD
This collaborative network brings together early career researchers within MVLS (College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences) and supports their development.
