Support for Researchers

We appreciate that this is a very difficult time for researchers working in international development. We are receiving new information all the time on the cuts and the implications are not yet completely clear. We encourage our grantholders and researchers to access available support and resources:

If you are an ODA grantholder and worried or unsure about the status of your grant, please contact your local Project Coordinator in the first instance to see if your award has been flagged in any official funder communications. If you are unsure who your local Project Coordinator is, please use the contact links on the right to contact your College Research Support Team.

If you are an ODA grantholder and you receive any communications of any kind regarding your award from the funder, please immediately share this with your local Project Coordinator, who can assist you with any modifications required. If you are unsure who your local Project Coordinator is, please use the contact links on the right to contact your College Research Support Team.

If you are an ODA grantee whose award has been cancelled after you were notified of a successful outcome, please inform Mary Ryan, International Development Research Manager: Mary.Ryan@glasgow.ac.uk. Mary is compiling information on the impacts of these cuts for internal purposes and, with your consent, to share with other groups to support lobbying activities.

If you are a researcher working in international development, there are still many funding sources available to support your work. We encourage you to sign up for the weekly GCID Newsletter to be kept up-to-date on these opportunities. Just e-mail Mary.Ryan@glasgow.ac.uk and ask to be added to the GCID mailing list.
