Why do we run the Crucible?

Every year, 30 Early Career Researchers are selected to take part in the Glasgow Crucible. The programme aims to create an environment for ECRs that is welcoming and inclusive, providing them with the opportunities to consider their long term academic goals.

The Crucible is extended across all four Colleges, which allows researchers to expand their networks, gain insights into other ways of working, and form unique collaborations.
