Stevenson Building New Opening Hours - message for UofG Sport members.

Message from UofG Sport

Dear Member, 

In July 2017, we began consultation with our staff on a number of service wide proposals. Fundamentally, these looked at how we would deliver our services across University of Glasgow Sport in the future.  

We are now in a positon to begin moving forward with a number of changes that will come into effect throughout 2018. One of the main changes at the Stevenson Building will see an increase in the number of hours our facility is open throughout the year. This decision reflects feedback we have received from current members and will enable more consistent and greater access to our facilities and services. 

New opening times will come into effect from Monday 26 March 2018:

 The key changes include: 

  • Earlier opening time from Monday to Friday where we will now open 30 minutes earlier at 0630 – you can now access the gym or classes and still have time to grab a shower before lectures or work. 

  • Activities will cease and the building will close earlier at 2215 and 2235 respectively from Monday to Thursday. 

  • New opening times will remain constant throughout the year and will not be reduced during non-academic periods – we will be open for longer throughout the year, giving you more access to the activities you love. 

  • Opening and closing times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will remain unchanged. 

  • The Stevenson Building will now be open on all Public Holidays with the exception of the Christmas and New Year period (exact opening hours and closure dates to be confirmed) – offering you even more access than ever before and no excuse to take a ‘rest day’. 

Your membership will continue as normal after the 26 March and there is no need for you to do anything. We hope you welcome the changes and look forward to seeing you in the Stevenson Building soon
