The University of Glasgow community has extended its deepest sympathy to all those affected by the terrorist attack in London at the weekend, and to all those who have suffered as a result of the Manchester bombing and other atrocities we have witnessed in recent weeks in several other parts of the world.

If you are concerned about about someone in London, you can call the Metropolitan Police Casualty Bureau on 0800 096 1233. The Anti Terrorist Hotline number is 0800 789 321.

The current threat level from international terrorism in the UK is SEVERE. This is not the highest level, but it means an attack is highly likely. Police Scotland say there is no intelligence to suggest there is any specific threat to Scotland but ask the public to remain alert and report anything suspicious.
