Advice on better events/conferences

Do you want your event or conference to be welcoming and accessible to all?
The Research Strategy and Innovation Office and Equality and Diversity unit have put together some advice and suggestions for how to embed principles of equality and diversity into an event, workshop or conference.
We know lots of these suggestions are things that experienced event organisers will be considering anyway (such as accessibility or diversity in panel composition) but this guidance brings everything into one place, perfect for the first-time or stressed-out events organiser.
We’ve also consulted widely to get some practical strategies and suggestions for exactly how to achieve the things we know we should be doing, to ensure everyone feels welcome and able to participate in their research community.
