Help HR support all staff effectively and inclusively by sharing your diversity data through CoreHR.

Human Resources - Equality and Diversity

Our strength as a world changing university lies with our staff and student bodies, and we are committed to supporting our diverse population of employees.

In order to support our staff as fully and effectively as possible, we need to understand who you are - this is why we are asking you to check and update your diversity data on CoreHR.

How will you use my data?

Diversity data is helpful for the University as it assists us to:

• Shape our diversity strategies and policies
• Ensure we are supporting our workforce appropriately
• Identify areas of under representation and consider how to address these.

As part of our Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED), we recently published our 2017 PSED Equality Outcomes Report, which details a range of equality-related activities we are committed to delivering between 2017 and 2021.

All of our outcomes have been informed and shaped by the diversity data we have available, and cover areas ranging from improving gender equality, fostering a supportive and respectful culture and providing effective support for disabled staff and students.

Will my information remain confidential?

We recognise this information is of a sensitive nature, however all data you provide will be treated in strict confidence and in accordance with the 1998 Data Protection Act.

Only anonymised summary information will be made available to Higher Education Statistical Agency (HESA) based on the categories determined by HESA for all Scottish universities, as is required. We also share summary data with our campus Trade Unions who we work in close partnership with on this agenda, as they share our desire to improve our data set and are supportive of this exercise.

How can I complete my data?

A brief step-by-step guide on how to access the HR system (use the MyGlasgow Staff Login) and how to navigate to all staff information is available.
