UofG to host 2018 CERE Conference

The 2018 Consortium of European Research on Emotion conference will be hosted by UofG's Dr Rachael Jack.
The University of Glasgow is set to host the 7th Consortium of European Research on Emotion (CERE) conference on 4-5 April 2018.
CERE is an informal organisation that promotes research across Europe among scholars from a wide range of disciplines with an interest in the topic of emotion.
Building on the success of previous conferences in Amsterdam, Berlin and Leiden, the event will be hosted by Dr Rachael Jack of the Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology.
Dr Jack said: “I’m delighted to be organising the 2018 CERE event here in Glasgow. It offers an opportunity to bring together researchers from the many disciplines studying emotions, including Psychology, Neuroscience, Philosophy, History, Literature, Art, Marketing, Law, Ethics, Politics, Computing Science, Medicine, and many more.
“Being part of such a multidisciplinary community is intellectually stimulating and challenging. It provides new opportunities to forge collaborations and enables fresh perspectives, approaches, and questions to emerge.
“Attendees will experience the latest emotion research from several specialist keynote talks, poster and open paper sessions, and symposia over two days, with some of the latest technology showcased by our sponsors.”
Abstract submissions for symposia, open papers and posters are open until 3 December 2017.
Registration for the event is now open, with an early bird discount available until 9 January 2018.
