Images with Impact Competition

The College of MVLS is challenging its staff and students to provide a stunning image that tells a story.

Following the success of previous Images with Impact competitions, the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences is challenging staff and students to provide a stunning image that tells a story.

The 2017 competition invites submissions to two categories of image. Images should be eye-catching, meaningful and either:

  • bring research to life and capture people’s attention, whether it be microscopic subjects such as parasites or waterbears (tardigrades) or an image which highlights the application of your research in its wider social or environmental context; or
  • present aspects of life and activity in MVLS that showcase the College to the wider world.  This is open to creative interpretation and could include education, people, places and things. Let your imagination run wild!

Prize

The winning image will be featured in the design of the MVLS College Christmas card, and on the University and College website and marketing materials. The winner will receive a £50 voucher and an A0 poster of their image.

How to enter

The competition is open to all staff and students in the College of MVLS. The deadline for submissions is 4 November 2017.

See the page for instructions on how to apply, and further terms and conditions.
