New International Strategy Launch: Global Glasgow 2025

Published: 6 May 2022

Last month the University launched a new International Strategy, Global Glasgow 2025

Last month, we launched our new International Strategy, Global Glasgow 2025, and committed to a number of institutional objectives within four priority pillars - Global Research, Global Relationships, Global Recruitment and Global Reputation - our four Rs.

The new strategy articulates our global aspirations, and supports the vision conveyed in our institutional strategy, World Changers Together, World Changing Glasgow 2025, launched in April of last year.

Global Glasgow 2025 reflects not only our bold ambitions to be the World-Changing University, but also reaffirms our commitment to engage with our civic mission via our local and global communities. Our priority is not to be the best university in the world, but the best university for the world.

Our University of Glasgow community is at the very heart of this strategy, which focuses on the importance of collaboration and collective action. Success within these four pillars will not be possible without the support of our community of World-Changers; thus, this strategy aims to empower TeamUofG to make a global impact, creating an environment in which our colleagues, students and wider communities can thrive, and together work towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and equitable world.

To celebrate the launch of the strategy and to foster further connection with our communities, this month we will be hosting a virtual partnership event, the University of Glasgow’s Future of Internationalisation: International Partner Event. The event will take place on the 25 and 26 May and will include representation from the University of Glasgow as well as colleagues from a range of our international partners and sector bodies. Registration for Future of Internationalisation: International Partner Event is now open, and I really do hope that you will be able to join us for what I am sure will be stimulating discussions and debate.

Together, we are World-Changing Glasgow.
