Sixth volume of undergraduate research journal, [X]position, to be released

LEADS is pleased to announce the launch of volume 6 of the University’s undergraduate research journal, [X]position. Issue 1 of the volume will be released on 4 October, with five articles written by students from all four colleges.

[X]position showcases the extraordinary range and quality of research that is carried out every year by our undergraduate students, and this year’s volume emphasises the work that has been carried out in the difficult circumstances of the pandemic.

The journal is part of the Let’s Talk About [X] initiative, which offers students a unique opportunity to present or publish their work, be mentored by PhD students from the University, and get a taste of professional academic life at a time when they might be consider their next career steps.

[X]position volume 6:1 features papers on diverse subjects from enhancing the wellbeing of captive meerkats to the highlighting the lived experiences of migrants in Glasgow. Article previews and author biographies can be found via Twitter @XpositionUofG.

If you’re a student and you’d like to see your research published, see the applicant information at talkaboutx.net/xposition or contact the editor-in-chief, Dr Jessica Bownes (jessica.bownes@glasgow.ac.uk).
