Colleague Engagement Survey – now open

Published: 26 July 2021

Colleagues invited to respond to pulse survey

The new Colleague Engagement Survey is now open and those colleagues who have a contract for more than seven hours per week (0.2fte) will start to receive an email direct from People First with your individual link to the survey later today.  If you work with colleagues who aren’t on email regularly, please let them know that posters will be displayed around our main buildings from later this week and include a QR code that they can use to give us their views via a mobile device.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges for us all, and we have been constantly inspired by the way that the University of Glasgow community comes together and responds to the most complex and enduring challenges.

We are thankful to each and every one of you for your efforts and are mindful of the additional burden and pressures that have been placed on colleagues as a result of the pandemic. Over the course of the past 16 months we have gathered and considered evidence to understand the issues and mitigate the potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on colleagues, and it’s important to us that we clearly understand your views on working at the University to shape our future plans and activities so that we can continue to make the improvements that are needed.

The survey is shorter than in previous years and generally seeks ‘a cross in the box’ answer taking only about 10 minutes to complete.  You will find space to make free text comments on what you think is good about working for the University, and what you would like to see improved towards the end of the survey. The survey will be open from 26 July until 27 August 2021.

We recognise that everyone is exceptionally busy, but we are at a key pivotal point in the way we work at the University and this is your chance to inform that. The survey is most meaningful, and the data most useful, if the majority of us respond to it openly and honestly – so we urge you please to play your part, by clicking on the link to complete the survey when you receive it.
