Talks are underway
Tripartite talks are underway to try to address the reform of the USS pension scheme, involving Universities UK, the UCU and USS. The first meeting was held on 15 January, and the meetings continue through to 29 January.
At the same time, talks are underway between the Universities and Colleges Employers’ Association (UCEA) and the UCU about the pay dispute. The two parties have issued a joint statement indicating that progress was made at the last meeting on 10 January; a further meeting is planned for this week.
We will share further information on both matters as and when it becomes available.
