Car parking management scheme update

Following a procurement exercise, a company has now been appointed to provide the necessary software systems for the proposed campus car parking scheme.
Following a procurement exercise, a company has now been appointed to provide the necessary software systems for the proposed campus car parking scheme.
Work is also underway to improve road markings, surface upgrades and signage.
While good progress is being made, our current estimate is that we will not be ready to launch the new scheme from 1 August, as previously planned.
We will discuss at the working group this week and identify a revised start date as soon as possible. In the meantime, existing permits will be extended; we will also consider on a case-by-case basis applications for temporary permits from members of staff who have mobility-related needs.
