The UofG has been celebrating the extraordinary athletics performance of veterinary student Laura Muir at this weekend's World Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham.
Laura added silver on Saturday night to her bronze in the 3000m on Thursday with a superb performance in a thrilling 1500m final: she chased home Ethiopia's Genzebe Dibaba, who took gold.
It’s the first time in history that a Scottish athlete has won two medals at a World Indoors.
"I've finished fourth, sixth and seventh in world finals before so to win two medals this time around is amazing; it is about time," Laura told BBC Sport.
"I thought if I could medal in one event it would be a great achievement. To medal in two and get a silver, I'm so pleased. It's such a confidence booster. I've been there or thereabouts and thought it's time I get on a podium and I've done a double here."
Taxi
It was an extraordinary four days for Laura, who made the championship a focus for the first half of 2018 as she will not compete at the Commonwealth Games in April in order to finish her veterinary studies.
She undertook a six-hour taxi journey to get to Birmingham on Wednesday as the road network felt the impact of the Beast from the East's freezing temperatures and heavy snow.
Laura was back studying at the Vet School on Monday morning, but found time for a celebratory selfie in the snow.
