We always encourage parents, carers, and guardians to help foster their family member's independence at university by allowing and encouraging them to contact the University themselves and seek the support they need. However, we understand settling into university life can be daunting for some students in normal times, let alone during a global pandemic, and parents, carers, or guardians would like to lend a helping hand. So if you have an issue you need to raise or an important question you need to ask on behalf another, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Supporting your Student
We are in regular contact with our student community via email, the #TeamUofG Student Newsletter, student portals, and social media to keep them informed of the latest developments, share all relevant guidelines and provide access to resources that support them in everything from studying online to mental and physical well-being.

While we use email and other student communication channels to proactively share new information and highlight key resources to our students, there is also a wealth of resources easily accessible on our website and via external bodies.
